Master examination, re-establishing respect for the craft, the introduction of a flat tax, the disinterest of young people in apprenticeships and shortages of skilled workers have become topics of discussion between the President of the Czech Republic Miloš Zeman and representatives of more than fifty associated guilds. During the one-hour long debate at the Castle, the head of state listened to the burning problems which most of tradesmen and craftsmen face in exercising their profession. The president of the country guilds wished to prosper in the respect of the citizens. "A country that does not have good craft and therefore not good guilds, is doomed to fail economically," he said during the meeting with the President of the Czech Republic.
